Abstract：
DLC-S69Xb dry silane is a convenient form of traditional liquid organo-functional silane coupling agent Bis[3-(Triethoxysilyl)propyl]tetrasulfide with 65% high active concentration; it is a free-flowing powder. DLC-S69Xb dry silane offers the benefit of easier handling and weighing, quicker incorporation during mixing and a longer shelf life.
This product has a sulfur organo-functional group and can be over a broad range of applications to provide superior bonds between inorganic substrates and organic polymers. The sulfur function reacts with a wide array of thermoset, thermoplastic and elastomeric materials.
DLC-S69Xb dry silane functions by chemically coupling the filler to the backbone of the polymer during vulcanization, compounding or crosslinking, and it is mainly used at sulfur curing systems.
Applications and Performance：
DLC-S69Xb reacts with fillers containing silanol groups during mixing and with the polymer during the vulcanization process under formation of covalent chemical bonds. This imparts better tensile strength, higher module, reduced compression set, increased abrasion resistance and optimized dynamic properties. DLC-S69Xb is used in many applications where white fillers containing silanol groups are involved and optimum technical properties are required.
1、Tires: An excellent reinforcing agent in tires to reduce heat built-up, reduce rolling resistance and improve the tires´ wet grip.
2、Shoe Soles: Generally applicable silane for improving abrasion resistance of sole compounds containing precipitated silica.
3、Mechanical Rubber Goods: General use silane for achieving good dynamic properties, low compression set and high abrasion resistance in mixtures containing white fillers.
4、Adhesives and sealants: An excellent adhesion promoter to glass, aluminum, steel and other inorganic surface in polysulfide, nitrile and other rubber adhesives, sealants and coatings.
Packing：
The regular packing of this product is the fiber drum with internal PE bag and the net weight of it is 30kg/drum. Other tailor-made packing is also available upon customer’s request.
Storage and Shelf Life：
Should be stored in dry, cool, ventilated room; keep away from water, moisture, high temperature and fire. This product has a shelf life of at least 9 months if stored in tightly closed original container at room temperature.
If this product is kept beyond the shelf life recommend on the product label, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
